Baxter's Life Story

Prologue

You are probably wondering what this place is? One thing I can tell you it isn't a place where you want to be or visit. I have no idea where the location is or what country as well. We all did start with families at one time; when we came here they make us forget all about them. I am kind of getting an ahead here. I just got here and I have no one to talk to yet, I have been hearing voices on the other side of door. I will tell you what I can remember.

I used to work on a farm with my mom, I never knew my father nor did my mom tell me about him at all. When I was little I keep noticing allot of young males are disappearing. I kept asking my mom about it and she keeps telling me it will happen to me. She wouldn't tell me anymore. I stopped asking the questions. In couple of days it will be my birthday I will be turning the age of twenty one, when I look at my mom I could see she is nervous for some reason. She won't tell me why just yet, she will when she is ready.

"Baxter I need you stay with me for rest of the week."Said my mom to me. "Why?"I asked her. "Please do."She replies as I look at her very confused. She still refuses to tell me. "We need to get some feed for the chickens."I said to her. She nods her head as we head outside. Once we are out I notice there are strangers around the place. I look at my mom as she ignores them. To me it happen to her before, I kept silence as we went to get the feed.

After a few hours our chores are done we went to sit on the porch to relax. While we are taking it easy and talking we hear a woman scream. "What is happening over there?"I asked my mom as I try to go over where the lady is screaming. "No, Baxter it won't do any good." she said to me as I sit back down beside her. "What do you mean?"I asked her. "Remember when you were younger you kept asking me why there are no young males around?"She asked me. I nodded my head as she continues "They been taken away to a place where no one knows or what they do to them. They come when the males are twenty one years old."Said my mom. "Do they fight back?"I asked her she shakes her head no. "When they are born they get something injected and they go into a trance or something and they listen to what those guards do. The females are spared and when they are at age they some get pregnant and raise more children, we don't know who the males that get us pregnant are."Said my mom. I was in shock to hear this. "So the lady who just screams must have had more sons."I said to her. She nods her head yes. "How do we go into the trance or sleep?"I asked her. She shrugged her shoulders. "It happens different ways. Once they are under we woman get a check up to see if we can carry another baby or not, I have no idea what happens when we can't. They always knock us out. You won't see me or the farm again." She said as she gets up. I notice the screaming has stopped. I had a quick look over where the lady was and I notice she is unconscious. As I get up and follow my mom everything was spinning. "Whoa it feels like I went around in circles to many times." I said to my mom. My mom looks at me. "It must be the circuit or what they injected into you."Said my mom. Once the spinning has stopped I followed my mom into the barn. We do some work in there when I started to feel dizzy. Then we heard a voice calling out to us. I look at my mom as she heads outside. "I would come if you try to hide or run they will make it stronger."She said as I follow. I wasn't planning to hide or to run not seeing the lady out cold. I could tell they meant business. "OK I am right behind you."I said as I follow her.

Once outside I notice there are more strangers in weird clothes. Then I felt weird like I couldn't move or talk. I tried to move for a last look at the farm when I felt a hands around my head "I wouldn't try, the elixir that you been breathing for awhile will put you in a trance so don't fight it. If you do you will be punished." Said the first stranger to me. I felt a needle into my arm I didn't try to move in case they would do something to me. I have no clue what was in the needle it made me not able to move. I was still aware of my surroundings and the sounds. All I remember is a small shot behind me, I have no clue what happen to my mom but I prayed that she will be alright.

"He is in the state we want."Said one of the strangers to another one. "I want to make sure; sometimes the elixirs put them into a half of the trance."Said the other one. "Our Master wants to know about some of the males as well, we had to knock out the others before we could question them. While he is in this state we can do an exam as well."Said the third stranger. The others agree to this. "Come."Said the first one. I had to no choice but to follow the order whatever the elixir was it made me follow the order. I follow them into the tent. "Lay down."Ordered the Doctor. I did what I was told and lay down where he wanted me. "You can question him before I do my exam. To me he will come around a bit faster than the others. It is save to use more of the elixir to keep him like this once you are done I will knock him out." Said the Doctor as he gives me more of the elixir.

"I will be asking questions and I want answers. Do you understand me?" Said the first stranger. "Yes I do." I reply. I had no choice the elixirs where making me follows orders. "What is your name?" Asked the first stranger "Baxter." I replied. "OK, what is your age Baxter?" Said the first stranger. "Twenty One."I replied. This went on for hours some of the questions they asked me I can't remember them. "OK he is done now he is yours."Said the first stranger. "Baxter you won't see us or hear from us any more you will learn more later."Said the first stranger as I black out.

"He is totally out now you can leave once I am done will let you know and we can go on the way."Said the Doctor as he starts to do the exam as the stranger's leaves. "The Master and the Mistress want to check you over as well."Said the Doctor to him. After a few hours the strangers came back after the Doctor called them so they can move me to a cage. The Doctor gave me another shot. "He will be in the trance like sleep, he won't be aware of the surroundings if he does knock him out again."Said the Doctor as he leaves. Once I came around I still couldn't move or see anything around me. I felt the cart moving to another part of the village to pick up more males. I kept hearing the mothers screaming about taking their sons away. I was able to turn my head and notice the guard's use a dart gun on the woman after their sons went into the trance. I felt a hand to turn my head away from the scene. "Try to do that again I will punish you."Said the guard. I didn't dare to say or fight back in case they do something to me. I kept looking at the sky until I felt some hands on me. They moved me to the rear of the cart. I keep hearing the mothers that didn't get shot crying about their sons taking away. I heard a male trying to fight the guards, and the guards shot him, I have no idea if they knock him out or killed him I felt them carry the male away. "Should we knock out the others in case they hear or see anything else? We have more stops before we reach our place."Asked one of the guards. "No, use the elixir to make them weak. It will wear off when we reach the Master and Mistress."Said the other guard as they start giving us the elixirs. I felt some of the other captives try to move away from the guards. It didn't work out after they had the elixir they couldn't move. They came to me to give me the shot. "It will put you in another trance and you won't be able to move."Said the guard as they gave me the shot. After awhile the elixir put me into a deeper trance and I couldn't move or fight, I felt so weak; I guess I fell asleep for awhile. I felt a hand to shake me awake not fully I was still in the trance.

"We are at the place where you call home from now on. You are going to meet the Master and Mistress; they will tell you what you are supposed to do here and the rules."Said the guard as he stands on the other side. "Do not try to run once I open the door. I want you to line up on the wall to wait for more info."As the guard unlocks the door. "Stand up and leave the cage."Said the guard. We did what the guard asks us to do. "You the last one you need to bend down."Said the guard as he notices that I am bit taller than the others. I bend down as I left the cage I went to stand by the last male. "Follow me. Don't do anything to try to escape or there will be trouble for you" Said the guard as he leads the way. We follow the guard inside the building, once inside the motions us to line up against the wall again. I heard the door slammed closed. I knew we couldn't be free anymore.

"You will be taken one at a time to talk to the Master and Mistress, you will obey what they say, and you won't see each other for awhile. It will take some time we might have to give you more of the trance elixir if we notice that is wearing off."Said the guard as he kept watching us. I kept looking straight ahead of me not daring to move, I kept hearing names being called from a different voice. During the wait I notice one of the males coming out of the trance. Once he knew his surroundings he bolted away from the wall. I notice the guards are pretty fast as they shot him with an elixir dart gun and he went down hard. They went and gave him a stronger doze and carried him away. They started to check us over to see if we are coming out of the trance. I felt a needle in my arm and I went back into the trance which I guess I was coming out of the elixir. After awhile I was the last male standing near the wall. After awhile someone called me. "Baxter follows me."Said the voice and I obeyed the command like I had no choice whatever the elixir was they given me. I followed the voice into a room. I am glad the doors are bit bigger than the cage door frame. "Sit down on that chair."Said the voice as he or she pointed I couldn't tell what gender they were in the tent cause it was dark inside. I sat down where the voice told me. I felt straps going onto my arms, legs and chest plus a head strap as well as a helmet. The voice tells me what this does and gives me an elixir to make me relax and let the machine or whatever this chair does. After awhile they take off the helmet as the clouds clear from my eyes.

"I will be asking more questions like the others did but with more info. What is your height?" The voice asked me "6'5"I replied to the voice as the voice writes the info down. "What color of eyes do you have and hair color?"The voice asked me. "I have baby blue eyes and my hair is very blonde color."I replied to the voice. Next thing I knew I had a bright light in my eye I couldn't swing or move my head away from the light. After the voice checked my eyes I had to blink to get the stars away. "What did you do before we taken you?"Asked the voice. "I worked on a farm."I replied to the voice. This took awhile I can't remember any more of the question the voice asked me. "Take him and give him a shower the Master and Mistress want to check him over after I give them the info."Said the voice to one of the guards as they unstrapped me. "Stand up and follow me."Said the guard to me. I stand up and follow the guard to the shower area where they blasted me with very cold water which I didn't mind at all. After that was done they toweled me down and gave me other clothes to hold on. "Follow me. Do not drop the clothes."Said the guard as I hold on tight on the clothes I been given as I followed them to a different area.

Once there the guard told me to stand by the wall. I followed the order and I didn't dare to look around the place. I knew I will able to later on. After awhile I heard a voice to call the guard."Stay here until I come and get you." Said the guard as he or she left me standing near the wall. After a few minutes the guard returns. "Come."The guard command to me. I followed the order as the guard leads me into a room where two figures are sitting I couldn't tell what they look like it. It was another dark room. The guard reads my info to them. "Stand still."Said one of the figures as he or she moved to have a closer look at me. I kept staring ahead of me while they came over to check and ask more questions in which I can't remember at all. They went over the rules and what they expect from me. "You will be in a room for awhile and the same rules and guidelines will be burn into your brain. After awhile you will forget what you did before you got here expect for the skills that you learn from the farm, you will forget about your mother and the smell of freedom. There is a harsh punishment if you try to escape. There will be test for my guards on you once in awhile and there will be exams as well. Each time there is an exam you will be put into a trance to bring you into the room. Do I make myself clear Baxter?" The Mistress asked me. "Yes I understand."I replied to the Mistress. "From now on you can call us Mistress and Master."Said The Mistress. I heard one of them talk to the guard that brought me in here, and he gave me another elixir which knock me out. They carried me away into a room where they let the elixirs leave my system on their own.
