 Chapter 10

 

The Master and Mistress enters the hut, "Good they are all asleep. Check them over."Said the Mistress to the Doctor. "OK."Said the Doctor as he goes to work. "You have an idea?"Said the Master. "Yes I do."She said as she tells what her idea are. "Sound good to me. Who do you want first?"Asks the Master. "I am going to do two of them again, with the last one they are all doing it."Said the Mistress. "OK, who are going to take?"Ask the Master. "Baxter and Zeger, they can wake up and eat then we take them." said the Mistress. "Sounds good."Said the Master as they leave. We all slept thru the night once we woken up the guards bring us our breakfast we ate in silence. Zeger looks at lot better.

 

After we are done eating the guards enter again and taken the plates away; another guards enter the hut. "Baxter and Zeger follow us."Said the guard; I had a quick look at Zeger to make sure he is following the order and he was. We followed the guard to a room. I saw the Master and the Mistress there. She explains what is going on. I was shock to hear this but didn't say anything. I had to nudge Zeger to keep quiet before he said anything. The Master notice this. "Get used to this Zeger."Said the Master. "It is totally different from the zombie elixir, you will be in really deep trance you won't remember anything once you come around. Once you are in there we will watch you for awhile before you return to the hut."Said the Mistress as she explain what the side effects are going to be. "You will know your surroundings but you won't able do your own thing at all. You will always obey us when you are in the state not anyone else."Said the Master.

 

"One of you will go under faster than the other one. It is a gas elixir has no scent to it."Said the Mistress as she motions to someone to turn the gas on. "You can walk around as well." said the Master. We started to walk around after a bit I notice Zeger is walking a bit slowly now. I am starting to feel a bit dizzy and lightheaded, I continue to walk around I came behind Zeger and I notice he is in a trance. I check his eyes and I notice they partly rolled up. Plus he is still walking as well more like a zombie walk. I am starting to walk slowly and everything is out of focus as well. I start to sway as walk like a zombie. I felt my arms and legs are getting heavy. I feel my head getting heavy and my head is lowering to my shoulders. I felt some hands on my arms to make me stop walking. I hear the guard talking. "He is almost there, he can't hold his head up any more." said the guard as he checks me over. "Make him sit on the chair and strap him in and put in the IV as well. Then check on Zeger."Said the Mistress. "Can do, do you want Zeger in the chair as well?"Asks the guard. "Yes, once they are both in start the IV's."Said the Master as I felt the guard putting me into the chair. I felt the straps going on and the IV going into my arm. I was powerless to do anything to stop them. "They are both in the chairs now." said the Guard.

 

I felt the elixir once they started the IV. After awhile I started to drool and everything is a blur, nothing I can see is in focus not even near me. I felt some one wiping my mouth. "Baxter is really under he is having a hard time to hold his head up even with the strap. Zeger he is totally out of it, it looks like he passed out." said the guard. "OK, give Zeger the needle and keep Baxter going." said the Mistress as the guard does what she asked. She motions to turn off the gas. After it stops and the room is clear of the gas they came in and check us over. "Unstrapped Zeger."Said the Master to the guard.

 

The guard does what he been asked and he unstrapped Zeger and he also taken out the IV as well. "Can you hear me Zeger?"Asks the Master. "I can."Said Zeger in a strange voice. "Stand up."Said the Mistress. Zeger did what she asked; he stands up he is swaying a bit from the elixir. "Look at me." said the Mistress to Zeger. He looks at her in blurry way. She notice his eyes are cloudy; she calls the Doctor over and he checks him over. "That is what we are looking for. We can use this one for the new workers." said the Doctor. "Is it safe to knock him out in this state?"Asks the Master. "Yes, he will sleep for awhile. Once he is awake he will be in a daze and weak as well."Said the Doctor.

 

"How long can they be in this state?"Asks the Mistress. "As long as you want, you have to give them more of the elixir to keep them in the state." said the Doctor. "OK, knock out Zeger and bring him back to the hut. Let's check on Baxter." said the Mistress to the guards; they did what she commands; once Zeger is unconscious they take him away. "Unstrapped Baxter." said the Mistress. I felt the straps loosen once they are off I slip off the chair. They took off the IV an gave me the finial elixir. "Help him stand up." said the Mistress.

 

I felt the guards lifting me up from the floor. I am having a hard time to hold my head up. I felt the other guards lifting my head up. I notice there is a shape in front of me; I couldn't tell who it is. "Baxter is in so deep that he is having a hard time to stand and holding his head up without us holding on to him." said the Doctor. "I agree. Baxter can you hear me?"Asks the Master. "I can."I replied to him in a strange voice. "Strap him in the chair again."Said the Mistress the guard did what she asked; I was back in the chair and the straps back on. The Mistress motions to the Master to follow her. She tells him what she wants to do. The Master is in shock to hear this. "Once I deliver the baby he/she can go to the woman to rise."Said the Mistress. "Plus he won't remember doing it either." said the Master. The Mistress went and check me over. "Baxter needs help to walk as well; he can't hold his head up as well."She said. "I agree, guards help Baxter to walk."Said the Master as I felt the straps loosen again. They made sure I didn't slip out of the chair. They help me to stand and walk to where the Mistress wants me. About five hours she is done with me. I don't' remember anything while I was there. "Bath him before you knock him out."Said the Mistress as the guards help me to the wash area they lie me down and spray water on me to get the smell off me. After that was done they put me on a stretcher and knock me out; everything went dark as I pass out.

 

The bring me back to the hut and they lie me down and the leave. Cyan sees that I am back. "Baxter is back but he is unconscious or in a heavy trance. Same as Zeger."Said Cyan and make me comfortable. "It might take awhile before they wake up."Said Xuan. "Baxter will need blood once he is awake."Said Yakov. Three weeks went by before Zeger and I come around; once we do we are in a daze. "Baxter drink this."Said Alex as he help me with the blood. Once I drank the blood I felt a little better. "Try not to talk yet, go back to sleep."Said Alex as I fallen back into deep sleep. "It will be slow for Zeger, Baxter will be around later or tomorrow, not too sure about Zeger."Said Deon. "Hard to say, I don't think they remember anything from it."Said Cyan. Couple hours later I woke up feeling allot better.

 

"How do you feel?"Xuan asks me. "Good, that felt weird."I said as I tell them what happen to us. "Once we are in that state we can still hear the Master and Mistress, only their voices or the guards that we listen to not anyone else. I was in so deep that I had trouble standing without help. The guards had to help me to stand and to walk."I said. "Is this for Valin or the new workers?" Alex ask me. "I guess for the new workers."I replied. Another day Zeger is fully awake. "I never felt so helpless at all."Said Zeger. "Do you remember anything?"Alex ask him. Zeger tells what he remembers. I notice the door is opening and the guard motion us to follow them to the work area.

 

They lead us to our work are and we start to work; Zeger got the hint not to say anything or make a fuss. After awhile I felt arms around my throat; I didn't fight at all in case who ever grab me might do something to me. I notice the guards coming running. "One more step and I will break his neck."Said the voice. I recognize Valin's voice as gets a stronger grip on me. I notice Alex's face when Valin spoke. I kept quiet and I kept still as well. I felt Valin pulling me backwards with him. I had to keep bending down so I won't bang my head cause I couldn't see where he was taking me.

 

I felt a prick on my leg. "Keep moving."Said Valin as he notices I am having a hard time walking. I felt another one and I collapsed when Valin let go of me to see what is wrong with me. The guards managed to shoot Valin before he could escape again. It took about five elixirs to stop him. "Alex and Cyan help Baxter back to the hut."Said the guard. Alex and Cyan came over and they took out the darts and they notice I am semi conscious. I felt them lift me up and carry me back to the hut. Once there they lie me down. I hear the guard enter as well. "I will knock him out he will wake up tomorrow."Said the guard to Cyan and Alex. I felt the needle and everything went black on me as I pass out. "You two stay here with him."Said the guard as he leaves. "That was scary; I wonder where Valin was hiding all this time?"Said Cyan. "I agree and the way he grab Baxter as well. It surprise him as well. The guards had to shot Baxter to get to Valin."Said Alex. "I don't think Baxter got a strong dose of the elixir at all."Said Cyan.

 

Ten hours later the other return. "How did the work went?"Asks Cyan. Deon tells them what happen after they took me way. "We might not work tomorrow."Said Alex. "You could be right. The Master and Mistress came down to see what is happening and they were surprised at this as well. How is Baxter doing?"Yakov ask Alex. "Good the guard knock him out he will be awake in the morning."Said Cyan. Zeger is shocked to hear this. "Before you say anything it is life here and yes it isn't fair but we have no choice to be here, and I don't want to go thru what Valin's hut is going on."Said Alex a bit angry. Zeger got the point and kept quiet. The guards bring in the food we all grab the plates and they started to eat once they put the plate back they started to fall asleep.
