Chapter 9

 

The guards enter our hut to check us over. "They are all asleep, we can bring in one of the males now."Said the guard as he motions the other to bring in the male that used to be a guard. Then they leave our area to put the other ones in different huts. We all slept for two days before we came around expect for the male that was in the zombie state. "It looks we got one of the males that used to be a guard."I said as I notice the male laying down. "He will be like for a couple of days before he comes around."Said Alex as he checks him over. "I guess the other guards were shock to see them tied up and went into the zombie state as well."Said Deon. "I agree, I guess no one is safe here at all. "Said Xuan. Couple of days went by before the male comes around; I notice he is in a daze once the elixir is leaving his system. I bring him some food. "Eat this it help you."I said as I help him with the food. Once he is down eating he is more awake. "What happened?"He asks us. "Do you remember anything?"Alex asks him. He shakes his head no. "Don't try to remember, it will make you crazy if you try."Said Alex.

 

"What is your name?"I asked him. "Zeger."Said Zeger. The door opens and guards enter the room. They notice Zeger is awake. "Baxter, and Zeger follow us."Said the guard. Zeger looks scared. I had to pick him up and push him towards the guards. He didn't want to go. "You better follow their orders or they will do something to you."I whispered in his ear. He could I meant business with my voice and he did what the guards ask us to do. We followed the guards to a room. We saw the Master and Mistress there as well. "Zeger sit down in the chair."Said the Master. Zeger almost refused to do what the Master asked when he looked at me, he notices that I was standing with a cross look at my face and Zeger sat down. The guards starts to strap him in and Zeger is trying to struggle when they are putting the straps on him.

 

It took about five guards to strap Zeger into the chair. He kept struggling until the guard gave him a elixir that would stop him moving around that much. The Mistress explains what she is going to do to him. I was in shock to hear this but I didn't say anything at all. I stand back and watch the guards gave Zeger a drink of some sort, Zeger tries to fight them. "Baxter hold his head still."Said the Master; I did what he asks me. I hold head still and the guards forced him to drink the elixir. After awhile Zeger went into a relax state then the guards strapped his head into the helmet on back of the chair. I was able to let go when I felt Zeger relax. I relies this is the same machine that I was in before. I saw them put the screen in front of Zeger and they put an IV into his arm to make him saw us how he helped Valin to escape.

 

After awhile it was done. The guard's give him another elixir to make him talk as I notice Zeger goes into a trance like sleep after they take away the screen. "Tell us where Valin is?"Asks the Mistress to Zeger. It took a few minutes before the elixir takes effect on Zeger; he tells what he knows and what his part of it was. "The other two guards did different jobs to help Valin?"Asks the Master. "Yes, I have no idea what their part is."Said Zeger. They kept on questioning him until they couldn't get any more. I could tell the elixir is wearing off him. "Baxter you can drink from him, once he is out cold we will put in the circuit in him as well. The others will do the other males."Said the Mistress. I nodded my head that I understood what they want me to do. I went behind Zeger and I started to drink. I made him unconscious from me drinking his blood. The guards unstrapped him and take him away; while different guards to take me back to the hut.

 

Once I got back to the hut, I told the others what I had to do. "Zeger didn't want to follow the Master and Mistress intrusions at all, I had to hold him down until the guards strapped him down. He did calm down after the elixir took effect on him."I said as I told what he said to the Master and Mistress. "So one of use will do the other ones?"Alex said to me. "Yes, plus they are getting the circuits as well."I said. "It could be the next day before we find out."Deon said. "I agree, I am going to lie down, drinking the blood is making me sleepy."I said as I lie down, I fallen asleep real fast.

 

The guards came in and they saw me sleeping. "Are you able to wake him up?"The guard asks Alex. Alex shakes his head no. "Will he sleep all night?"The guard ask Alex. Alex shake his head yes. "OK, you can eat. "Said the guard he gives them the food. They ate in silence, and the drank the blood. "Whoa I forget how fast this one is."Said Yakov as he fallen asleep the others follow suit as they pass out from the elixir. The guards enter and check them over and they bring Zeger back they lie him down and they leave.

 

I woke up before the others and I notice they all asleep, I make them as comfortable as I can and I notice Zeger is back. After awhile I notice the others are coming around expect for Zeger. "I guess they put the sleeping elixir in the food."I said to them. "Yes, you were in a deep sleep from the blood that you drank they didn't want to try to wake you up."Said Cyan. "I would have no idea what happen if they try to wake me up."I said. "Nor I. When we drink blood we go into a deep sleep."Said Xuan. The guards enter they bring us food, we ate in silence; after we are done eating the guards came back to take the plates away. "Xuan follow us, Baxter you stay with Zeger and the others are going to work." said the guards. They follow the guards while I check over Zeger.

 

After three hours later Xuan returns back from his job. "I will tell you once the others are back. How is Zeger doing?"He asks me. "Still unconscious, it might take awhile before he comes around."I said to Xuan. Two hours later the others are back. Xuan tells us what they learn from the second guard. "So each guard had a job to help Valin escape."I said. "Yes, they are not closer to finding Valin thou maybe the last guard will be more helpful."Said Deon. "Could be, I am going to sleep I had to drink from the guard as well."Said Xuan as he lies down he has fallen into a deep sleep. The guards enter the hut and notices Xuan asleep. "He won't be eating tonight?"The guard ask us. Alex shakes his head no. "OK here is your food."Said the guard as he puts down the plates and they leave. "We probably will get the elixir in the food or in the blood."Said Cyan as he picks up the plate and his blood. We ate in silence and we put the plates back and we fall asleep pretty fast.

 

We all slept all night, once we are awake expects for Zeger. I went to check him over and notices there are some small movement from him. "I guess he will come around later on today."I said as I went back to the others. "Could be. I wonder who will do the last male."Said Yakov. "Hard to say."Said Alex as he notices the door opening, the guards bring us the food; we ate in silence after we are done the guards take away the plates. "Alex you are coming with us, Cyan you are stay here and the others are going to work." said the guard to us. We followed them expect for Cyan. Once Deon, Xuan and Yakov got to our work area we started to work. After ten hours of work we brought back to the hut, once we go inside Alex is back. He told us what he had to do. "So the last guard has no idea where Valin is either?" I said. "Nope, Valin kept that part to himself."Said Alex after awhile I notice Zeger is awake but in a daze. "There is no point helping to eat or drink we probably will get the elixir the normal way."Said Alex. "Could be here comes the food."I said as I notice the door is opening. The guards bring us the food and I notice there it is a plate for Zeger. "I think the elixir is in the food."I said. "OK, I will help Zeger before I eat."Said Alex as he gets the plate and he helps Zeger with the food. I grab mine and I sat down and I started to eat and watch Zeger. I notice Zeger passed out really fast before I passed out.
